Dear GEIDCO Members,

Central and Eastern Europe, as a traditional coal-fired power station cluster in Europe, has been slow to transition to renewable energy in recent years, and there are many obstacles to the retirement of coal power.

1. Under the current new situation, what opportunities and challenges are facing the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe?

2. What are the opportunities for clean energy development and international collaboration?

3. What role are Chinese enterprises playing in the energy transition and sustainable economic and social development of Central and Eastern Europe?

4. How will the European Green Recovery Plan and the "17+1" energy cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries jointly promote the energy transition?

In this context, the Global Energy Interconnection and  Development Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), together with GEIDCO’s member RES Foundation will hold a new GEI Cloud Seminar, centering on the "Energy transition and international collaboration in Central and Eastern Europe", inviting energy and power companies and scientific research institutions from the energy fields of Central and Eastern Europe and China, to discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe, analyze the status and trends of clean energy development, and conduct in-depth discussions on CEE -China international collaboration.
